Program Objectives

The Master of Science Degree Program in Interior Design and its graduates will play a leading role in the current paradigm shift in worldwide design practice which is moving toward evidence- based design and research supported design solutions. It will provide a unique and distinguished academic educational experience that will:

  • Prepare future and current designers to meet the growing demands of the design community.
  • Contribute to the advancement of human intelligence and promulgation and development of knowledge.
  • Prepare specialized candidates.
  • Encourage the graduate to play a pioneering and leading role in the community, by teaching her how to take responsibilities and contribute to solving of problems through innovative thinking, collective work, reflection, and self-development.
  • Guide research activities to create solutions for persistent problems in the surrounding communities, through applied research and technical consultation. The importance of performing basic scientific research for enriching human intelligence will be emphasized.
