Phase IV • Post-Year 6
Internship
Upon successful completion of the six academic years of the MBBS program, students are required to undertake a mandatory 12-month clinical internship as stipulated by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS). The internship spans the major clinical specialties - Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine - and constitutes the final phase of the MBBS degree prior to graduation and licensure to practice medicine in the Kingdom.
