Overview

The Head of the DGSR should recruit three members of the university’s scientific and technical faculty to serve part-time as Supervisor of Scientific Research, Supervisor of Applied Research and Supervisor of General (Natural Sciences, Business, Humanities and Social Sciences). These supervisors should begin working immediately to build the university’s research programs. As these programs grow, the part-time supervisors can be promoted to full-time status or the PMU can hire full-time supervisors from outside the university.
Many of the activities will be aimed at building relationships with businesses in the surrounding community in order to obtain both applied and scientific research projects. It is anticipated that these relationship-building activities will be conducted by the supervisors and the Head, with the help of additional research and technical staff.
