Computer Science and Engineering Majors Admission Requirements

PMU sets general requirements for candidates to apply. However, some majors require specific level of certain skills to apply for these specializations. These majors are Architecture, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The below tables show the PMU general and specific minimum requirements to apply for admissions:

General Requirements:

Majors Specific Requirements:

*Students with lower marks may apply, however, the minimum weighted total, defined by the Admissions Office, should be met.

Admission Criteria

In order to be considered for admissions to Computer Science or Engineering majors, the candidate should meet the major specific requirements.

How to Apply:

1. Complete online application
2. Submit documents before due date
   • Two recent passport-size photographs
   • Copy of secondary school certificate or equivalent
   • Copy of General Aptitude Test score report (Qudrat) or equivalent (SAT 1)
   • Copy of Standard Achievement Admission Test score report (SAAT – Tahseely) or equivalent (SAT 2) 
   • Copy of Saudi ID
   • Copy of Family ID Card (For female applicants - if available)
   • Copy of passport
   • If employed, a letter of no objection from the employer is required
3. Pay a non-refundable application fee of SAR 950 (incl. VAT) upon submission of documents
4. Submit original IELTS (Academic version) certificate or equivalent TOEFL iBT with acceptable scores (if available) or
5. For direct entry, submit original IELTS (Academic version) certificate with minimum scores of 6.0 overall and 5.5 in writing or equivalent TOEFL iBT with acceptable scores (read more...)

• After receiving and reviewing the above requirements, the admissions office will set an appointment for an interview
• The final decision will be communicated through the Admissions Office
