Welcome to the Department of Graphic Design at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU).

Designers may not be superheroes, but we possess the extraordinary power to shape how people experience the world. Design impacts everything. The countless decisions designers make influence us profoundly and subtly in our daily lives.

I genuinely believe that design is about defining relationships. Graphic designers carefully consider the connections between objects and people, experiences and audiences, clients and customers, and many other elements. They excel at exploring the relationships between form and content, audience and context, and message and interpretation. Of course, they also enjoy creating visually striking work. Our students come here to engage in a comprehensive academic journey emphasizing developing the skills and sensitivities crucial to becoming a professional designer. They learn to convey messages through a visual language, working independently and in collaboration with others.

The PMU Graphic Design curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become creative and innovative designers, unconfined by geographical boundaries. Graduates of this program will play a vital role in the community and economic development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), contributing to the nation's growth. The curriculum emphasizes respect for Islamic traditions while advancing Saudi cultural and social values. Graduates will emerge as future leaders and professionals dedicated to fostering sustainable community and economic development within the KSA and the broader Gulf region.

We are dedicated to delivering excellence in education to female students through our Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Graphic Design. Our curriculum is aligned with American standards and developed following the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) requirements. While the program prepares graduates to enter the field of Graphic Design in Saudi Arabia, it also equips them with the skills and knowledge to pursue advanced studies in graduate schools, both within KSA and internationally.

The Graphic Design Department faculty is deeply committed to the educational success of every student in the program. Each faculty member brings her unique expertise, covering theoretical and technical knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and practical experience. With all courses taught in English, our faculty members are proficient in the language, ensuring effective communication and instruction.
