Introduction


In a world that is becoming increasingly complex, in response to the rapid changes witnessed in all fields, amidst the rapid disruptions brought about by digital advancements, and in recognition of the attention deficit caused by the information revolution, it is necessary to be more vigilant in identifying risks and opportunities. The university needs to cautiously position itself in order to act swiftly in dealing with future variables, anticipate threats, identify major opportunities, and make current decisions to address all of these.

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Ensuring alignment between the internal capabilities of the university and external requirements.
  • Recognizing and mitigating issues at an early stage.
  • Addressing ambiguous matters and providing essential recommendations relating to them.
  • Confronting reality promptly and in a timely manner.
  • Cultivating a culture of heightened awareness and vigilance within the university staff.
  • Managing uncertainty by adopting flexible methods and realistic options for future foresight.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks that are deemed necessary by the university administration.
  • To establish the Institutional Vigilance and Future Preparedness Committee composed of subject matter experts to support decisions made by the newly established department.
