Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) placed in the top 101–200 from 1,115 world universities and number 3 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance fact, data and analytics driven instrument that assesses universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The rankings use carefully collected and calibrated key performance indicators from each institution of higher education to provide the most comprehensive, unified and balanced benchmarking across the four broad areas encompassing research, stewardship, outreach and teaching. The 2021 Impact Rankings is in its third edition. The overall rankings include universities from 94 countries and regions.
PMU earned its well-deserved recognition as an excellent academic institution of higher education in a remarkably short period of less than two decades. This most impressive outcome speaks volumes to the quality of PMU’s academic programs in addressing and working towards achieving the UN’s SDGs and in keeping current, connected and impactful on the world stage of socioeconomics for a better and peaceful world for all.
