Dear Graduates,
I would like to congratulate you all on your graduation!
This is a starting point for a future full of endeavors and challenges.
My core message to you on this occasion is to emphasize that success does not mean the end of a journey, and failure is not the end of any quest. Failure actually paves the road to success, and success paves the road to another one. Do not wait for it to come to you, as success usually comes to those who seek it, and it is always coupled with ambition. Talent alone is not sufficient; many talented people have buried their talents, and no one has heard of them. Also, education alone is not enough either, as there are many educated people who have given very little to their fields. Ambition is more important than anything to succeed.
Once again, congratulations, and May Allah grant you success in all your endeavors, and Peace, Mercy and Blessings upon you all.

Graduation is a time to reflect on your journey and celebrate your achievements. It is a time to acknowledge the hard work you have put in, the friendships you have forged, and the memories you have created. But it is also a time to look forward to the future with excitement and anticipation.
As you step out into the world beyond these classes, remember that you are well-prepared to face any obstacles that may come your way. You have acquired knowledge, skills, and experiences during your time here that will undoubtedly serve you well in your future endeavors.

PMU Commencement is a significant occasion in the lives of our students and their family members and friends. It marks the completion of a period of learning, developing, adapting, and accomplishing. These activities prepare you for successful professional engineering careers and for service as young professionals, scholars, entrepreneurs and leaders in Saudi society. As alumni, you are our brand ambassadors for life, boosting PMU’s College of Engineering reputation Kingdom wide.
Realize that you had the potential to get here, and you have the potential to succeed even further. Apply yourselves to the next step in your education, whether that is graduate school or your first career move. Find ways to share your many talents with your immediate communities. Find your place in society and contribute generously by helping and giving to others. Be a civic servant, a volunteer and a philanthropist. Explore the life and code of your most successful role models as a new approach to societal engagement. Take pride in your work; and always be professional and ethical. Those are good rules to live by and to remember as you go out into the workforce.
Now, let me give you one piece of advice that I have used time and time again, and it never failed me. Never give up. It doesn't matter what your dreams are. If you have a dream, you should not let anyone discourage you from pursuing it. There will be barriers and pitfalls. And there will be people who will put down your ideas. But listen to the people who took their dreams and went onto become very successful – don’t listen to the naysayers.
I offer you my warmest congratulations, and I wish you best of luck in all you do. Please take some time today to thank your friends, family, and all of the university administrators, faculty and staff who helped you reach this important milestone. Remember, you didn't get here by yourself.
And when you reach that pinnacle of success, don't forget to give something back to PMU who made this educational opportunity possible for you. Preparatory Program PRP
(PRP) DEAN'S MESSEGE
The Preparation Program at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University acts as a bridge between high school and college, specifically in English Language learning. Students graduating from high school, where Arabic is the predominant language of instruction, will benefit from additional English language instruction to strengthen their language skills and make them successful in their future coursework and lives. In addition, the Program focuses on those social and ethical skills that will prepare them for college.
Students who enter the program with a basic knowledge of English may take up to a year to move on to college. Entry at a lower level may take up to a year and a half or up to two years or more. The length of time within the Preparation Program depends largely on the effort that students put into their courses which include English, Mathematics, and Study Skills.
Our faculty are native or near native speakers of English and come with MA TESOL, English or related degrees or CELTA/TESOL certification. Most have experience teaching English internationally; they realize that learning English or studying math and other subjects in English can be demanding, so they keep students busy acquiring solid language skills in a communicative, lively style and spare no effort to make learning a most enjoyable experience.
Studying in the Preparation Program at PMU involves much more than the curriculum. Students have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of social and athletic events organized by the Campus Life Department, thus students begin to develop leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, technical, and communicative skills from the earliest stage of their education: these competencies will enable them to succeed as college students and as professionals whether in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else in the world.
