CEWS is PMU’s interdisciplinary platform for decision-relevant applied research that generates data-driven, practical, and scalable solutions for environmental protection and water resource management. With a primary emphasis on Saudi Arabia and the Eastern Province, CEWS is designed to support national priorities, enable sustainable industrial development, and improve community resilience.

CEWS brings together an interdisciplinary team of faculty, expert researchers, and affiliated experts to conduct applied research at the interface of engineering, environmental science, and policy. Our work is designed to be useful for decision-makers, supporting practical choices about technology adoption, resource management, infrastructure planning, and regulatory compliance.
