The world is changing in almost every aspect of human life on scale never seen before. Changes in the global economy, education, technology, business relations, cross-border investments, and natural resources are capable of producing conflicts and creating barriers to conflict resolution both at the domestic level and in the international arena. In different ways, those changes raise challenges to the optimal realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) that would foster greater justice and equality in our world. Traditional conflict resolution may not succeed in the 21st century without amendment and/or the introduction of new theories, laws, and practices. Education has a role to play in enhancing young people’s skills in the area of peace and conflict management and in developing relevant competencies and positive values and attitudes. The PMU Conference (CCPR 2022) will address ways and explore models through which differences can be reconciled and peaceful co-existence may be assured for everyone on the planet.
