Artificial intelligence (AI) has become ubiquitous in science, engineering, business, industry, and society. The Center for Artificial Intelligence (CAI) is established at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) to fulfil its strategic research in applied AI to serve the needs of society and break new ground of scientific importance.

Research areas of CAI include but are not limited to deep learning in artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, bioinspired optimization, image processing, computer vision, signal processing, time series analysis, pattern recognition, and virtual and augmented reality. Applications are interdisciplinary, including medicine, health, multimedia, computing, mobility, manufacturing, energy, engineering, natural science, law, business, humanities, and education.

The membership of CAI includes faculties from all PMU Colleges. The Center has the state-of-the-art computing equipment, IT infrastructure, and strong institutional support to achieve its mission and objectives.
